Storage: For those of
you who are storing your packs make sure
you mind the rules. Store at 3.5V - 3.8V per cell for
Lipos and 3.2V - 3.4V for LiFe packs. We are advocates of checking
them once a month. This is a practice we use whenever
our packs are not being used, all year long. It is
recommended by most manufactures and should be applied
to all packs. Check out the
our Chargers, they are economical and
most have a storage function.
Check out our general care and use
instructions
here.
DO NOT BUY any of our batteries if
you can not or will not follow all the safety precautions that come
with lithium based batteries. They store and hold a tremendous
amount of power in them. That power can be released in bad ways if
not used, stored, and charged correctly. Mile High RC is not
responsible for any damage or failure that results from the use or
batteries. Use only a chemistry compatible charger.

We are happy to
bring on the Dinogy brand of Graphene Lipo packs. They are among the
best and score extremely well in independent test. If you
want to dive into some of the comparison data available check out
this thread on
RC Groups. We have a special
connection with the parent company who manufactures the Dinogy
brand. They were one of the first companies we worked with when we
started Mile High RC over 20 years ago. Mile High RC originally only
sold Lipo's. We bought individual cells and hand made all of our
packs. At the time it was the only way we knew the cells in the
packs we offered were matched. The only way to see quality was to
sample cells from each batch. Back then the materials they were made
of was of no concern as we didnt have any options. It was almost as
if we took a string of cell phone batteries soldered or welded them
together. Threw them in our plane, boat, or truck and overamped the
heck out of them... oh wait that's literally what the industry did
at first. But even back then this company was always at the top, one
of the leaders for durability and quality and accurate ratings.
As the years went by how a Lipo cell was
manufactured and materials used improved greatly. Nowadays a lot
like our 2 stoke gas engines our batteries are purpose built. Just
like we no long fly with chainsaw engines we no longer fly (or boat
or crawl) with cell phone batteries. Nowadays we can choose
manufacturers who understand why certain materials are better than
others. If you’re still flying a brand with Manganese, it’s time to
ditch the flip phone and jump to a pack that uses Cobalt. If you’re
not flying Graphene give them a shot. If you’re not flying a pack
utilizing Graphene and Cobalt technology together definitely give
them a try. We will be sure to grow this awesome line of Lipos for
you all.
Graphene Lipo
Packs
Graphene is the very latest ‘wonder material’ for nano class
batteries, bringing with it a range of attributes which lift
battery performance to a new level.
Graphene is a honeycomb lattice of carbon atoms, and is a potent
conductor of electrical and thermal energy. When Graphene technology
is added to Lithium batteries, the ions are able to move much more
quickly between the positive and negative electrodes. This boosts
the battery performance in every respect and, because of Graphene’s
astonishingly light weight, there is no weight penalty. In fact,
there is a weight saving!
Our latest ‘Graphene 2.0’ technology allows us to produce market
leading Lithium batteries with higher energy density (lighter weight
and higher capacity), higher under-load voltage, higher reliability
and precision cell matching. As every drone racing pilot knows,
light weight and higher output voltage are vital if you want to
stand on the podium: The Dinogy Graphene 2.0 is your route to racing
success!
Advantages over traditional LiPo batteries.
• Higher working voltage - gives your models more "punch".
• Higher capacity - provides longer flight times.
• Higher durability with reduced performance attenuation - no
obvious capacity or power loss after many cycles.
• Lower temperature rise, so less heat after high current
discharging. Heat is a killer of Lithium batteries.
• Longer cycle life (1000+).
• Lighter weight – so greater speed and improved handling.
Lithium Polymer
batteries were designed for mobile devices and
not for R/C use. Although some manufactures now
see the R/C market as a good viable market. In
general Lithium polymer technology was not
originally intended for high rate use as in R/C
applications. Therefore, the technology of
Lithium Polymer batteries in radio-controlled
models is to be considered experimental (not
just ours all of them). Our cells come from a
factory whom makes cells specifically for R/C
use. But please follow all guidelines and
precautions that are set for lithium polymer
batteries. The R/C hobby is fun, it can be a
daily escape, relaxing, and offer extreme
thrills. The last thing we want is someone to be
injured, or suffer property damage from their
hobby.
We suggest you
follow AMA safety precautions with any Lipo
battery. Since we cannot guarantee customers
will follow the proper safety precautions and
use an appropriate well functioning charger with
the correct settings, therefore, Mile High RC,
it's agents, distributors, employees,
associates, etc.. assume no responsibility for
the use of Lithium Polymer battery products by
our customers. Your purchase and use of this
product means you accept our terms and you
solely
are fully responsible for any consequences of
your use. That being said we do guarantee or
packs to be free from defects of parts and or
faulty workmanship. All cells are matched at the
factory and then matched again by us to assure a
good quality pack. If you have any problems WE
WANT TO KNOW about it!!!
Don't forget to check our
bargain bin. Aside from our personal R/C
stuff we also test fly everything we sell, we
can not possibly keep all of this stuff. Believe
us it piles up fast and we only have so much
warehousing available. So we sale or trade
in the
bargain bin.
All Products are guaranteed to be free from manufactures defects
and operate as stated. Please take advantage of our guarantee if
you have any problems. We also like to know how our products
stack up and how you like them, so after use please
drop us a line with your flight impressions. The more we know
the more we can help the next guy.
