500XTL (Low KV) Outrunner Brushless Motor

So you want to fly a 12 or 13" prop on a 3-cell for extreme torque? The Low KV 500XT is what you need, Rated at 200-250Watts 12"-13" or bigger props are mandatory for 3-cell. Or let her rip wiht a 12" prop on 4-cell lipos.

Shaft is reversible and any 3.1mm shaft can be used as a replacement.

Motor comes with an X mount, screws, 3.5mm bullet connectors (male and female), and some shrink.

Tech Notes: A very nice motor. Super efficient on a 3-cell with the 12" and 13" props. In flight the biggest prop we have flown on a 3-cell is a 13x4.7. A single short flight on a 4-cell with a 12x4.7 prop was excellent to say the least. A 4-cell is certainly opening up new planes for us. The factory claims a 12x6 on a 4-cell is pulling 16Amps. We say 15.9 with a 12x4.7 and the above data would contradict that but then again our lipos do hold voltage well. Looks like we are plane shopping again, looking for a nice pattern or 3D bird in the 40 oz. range.

Suggested set up: On a 3-cell with a 11x10, 12x8, or 13x4.7 prop has been more then need torque on a 28oz bird. But we have not yet come close the limits of this motor comes down luke warm at most. We are speculating 4-cell with a 11x7 or 12x6, or 3-cell with no less then a 12x6 is where we will end up. Most likely this will be a great motor for the 40+ ounce sport, pattern, and 3D birds on 4-cell with 12" props. With all the 45 oz. 3D and pattern birds being introduced it's about time we had an economical motor that can handle the job.

We attempted to shop price but could not find anyone else offering this motor. Since our markup makes us a leader in the price category we will continue with the tradition, but as you all know when we roll out a new motor we offer a little better price. Going against tradition would be like fighting Christmas.

3.1mm Prop Saver : 3.1mm prop saver. For direct drive on the high KV motors where a prop saver can not handle the speed use a prop adaptor instead of the prop saver.
