Tech Notes:
We thought the
1080KV maybe a little to fast for the 10"-11" props. But the motor
holds up well, provides plenty of power, and runs at a respectable
temperature. It has received kudos in an Apex 3D (aprox. 2.5 pounds)
unlimited vertical. On the test stand with 4-cell the motor just
seemed way to fast so we are not recommending 4-cell usage. If you
want to go 4-cell the
500XTL is
designed for 4-cell operation. The 500 XTH is giving better then 3
pounds of thrust (static) with 11" props. Pattern and scale flyers
look at the 9" and 10" props, you 3D guys check out the stats on the
11 x 5.5 prop. If it is little to much drop us a line we
do have a 950KV version in-stock/Testing.

3.1mm Prop Saver
: 3.1mm prop
saver. For direct
drive on the high KV motors where a prop saver can not handle the
speed use a prop adaptor instead of the prop
saver. The 500XTH motor walks the line of being to fast.
