Tech Notes: Motor
is factory rated at 370 watts nominal power with
suggested use being 10x5 through 12x6 props on 2
to 4 cell lipo with a 40-50 amp ESC. On the test stand
we could not get the motor to the max 370 watts on
3-cell with the available props. More 4-cell data to
come as time allows. We suspect 4-cell with a 12x6 APC E
will get around the 370 watts out of this motor. The
13x6.5 prop pulled only 25.6 amps and produced 54.5
ounces of thrust. Nice motor for some of the 40"-49"
performance birds on the market now days. At just under
3 ounces (82g)this motor
generates excellent power.

3DH 47" SHP - Running a 3-cell
2000mah with an APC 13 x 6.5 E prop. We had to build
some short stand offs to mount this motor. The stand
offs were cut a little crooked. All said and done still
a good motor for this 36.6 ounce bird on 3-cell. Incase
you are familiar with this plane the RTF weight is
actually under the manufacturers suggested weight. I
think that is a first for us. Even with the out of whack
thrust line she still flies well.
3DH 47" SHP - Running a 4-cell
2200mah with an APC 12x6 E prop (about 500 Watts). We
still have the stand off issue and it is magnafied a bit
with the added RPM. With the 4-cell we are still coming
in a bit under the 40 ounce range.
