We have a
few flights on this motor in a E-flite Cessna. So far pulls well
with a 8x6 prop very scale with good power for this type of plane.
However the motor was originally designed for park jets and small
pylon racers. Although it would make a so-so performing park jet,
this is a great parkflyer motor for scale flight and all the data
leads you to a great power plant for a foamy 3D bird. To tap the
true potential of this motor we will get out one of the 15 oz. foamy
birds. It's sure to provide ample power with 9" low pitch props. At
only 1.14oz. the motor is light enough with enough power you will
find a wide range of birds to put it in. Video coming soon.
Suggested
set up: GWS SF or HD prop 9x5, 9x4.7, 10x4.7 on 3-cell lipos
(1000mah+), 12A through 25A ESC depending on use. Birds to 25oz. scale, 15oz 3D.
